Can America Solve It’s Debt Problem?

One day after the SOTU address, the conversations about how to solve America’s debt problem has begun. You can read a number of articles about the things that need to be done, can be done and that should be done. None of the articles are coming from those that have the power to get them do.

Today the House (239 Republican and 10 Democrats) voted to end public campaign  financing and use the $195 million fund balance to help pay toward the $1.5 trillion deficit.  Thank you so  much to the U.S. House of Representatives for that massive 0.013% reduction in the U.S. deficit and it only cost the U.S. taxpayers  about $70 million a year (U.S. House of Representatives Salaries) for you to do that.

This deficit reduction amounts to a person who is $30,000  in debt and $2000 a month over budget and want to cut out their movie night to help balance their budget. Come on get real! Stop acting like this will make a difference in the deficit and call it what it is: A Corporate Buyout of Public Elections.

I don’t have a law degree, but if this the best the House can come up with I know where we can save an additional $ 70 million today!
